    District Court, Small Claims (Magistrate) — Summary Ejectment · revised July 1, 2026 · fillable PDF

    File in the county where the tenant lives. The magistrate sets the trial; late fees and other non-rent charges are listed as "other charges" in the damage box — cross them out if you are claiming rent only.

    District Court, Small Claims · fillable PDF

    The magistrate/clerk fills in the trial date, time and place and issues the summons. Bring one copy per defendant plus the court's copy.
